SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Danny Gonzalez of South Elgin, who passed away on August 1, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Danny Gonzalez was born on July 21, 1964 in Chicago; his parents were Maria and Pablo Gonzalez; and

WHEREAS, Danny Gonzalez served as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Lake Zurich Fire Department for 13 years; he served on the Department's training and safety committee; he also served as a lead instructor with the Lake County and McHenry County Technical Rescue Teams; and

WHEREAS, Danny Gonzalez served as President of the Illinois Associated Fire Fighters Local 3291; and

WHEREAS, Danny Gonzalez was preceded in death by his father; and

WHEREAS, Danny Gonzalez is survived by his wife of 24 years, Pamela Gonzalez; his daughters, Hillary Miller and Miranda Govea; his sons, Michael Pace and Cayetano Govea; his grandchildren, Cordarius Miller, Anthony Marples, Janessa Pace, and Juliana Pace; his sisters, Dee Hernandez and Nancy Rodriguez; and his brother, Louciano Gonzalez; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Danny Gonzalez; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Danny Gonzalez as an expression of our sympathy.
