SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joseph Franklin Bolin, M.D., who passed
4away on September 17, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joseph Bolin was born on September 10, 1942 in
6Denver, Colorado; his parents were Charles and Freeda Bolin; he
7married Janette Unterbrink on April 30, 1966; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Joseph Bolin grew up in the St. Louis area; he
9graduated from Edwardsville High School in 1960 and from the
10St. Louis College of Pharmacy; after graduation, he worked as a
11pharmacist at a number of pharmacies for 5 years, including
12Ricci's Pharmacy in Bethalto, before deciding to study medicine
13at Chicago Medical School, where he graduated in 1974; he later
14completed his residency at the Southern Illinois University
15School of Medicine in Springfield and his fellowship at St.
16Louis University Medical School; and
 
17    WHEREAS, After completing his medical education, Joseph
18Bolin practiced at Central Illinois Allergy and Respiratory
19Clinic in Springfield from 1978 until the early 1990s; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Joseph Bolin enjoyed golf, bird hunting, and
21fishing; and

1    WHEREAS, Joseph Bolin was preceded in death by his
2children, Brent Charles and Laura Elizabeth Bolin, and his
3parents; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Joseph Bolin is survived by his wife, Janette
5Bolin; his daughters, Jessica (Derek) Moss and Amanda Bolin;
6his sisters, Mary (John) Smith and Linda (Darrell) Pape; his
7grandchildren, Leighton and Olivia Moore; and his many nieces
8and nephews; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
11family and friends, mourn the passing of Joseph Franklin Bolin,
12M.D.; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Joseph Bolin as an expression of our
15sympathy.
