SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Glenda Green of Waukegan, who passed away on October 11, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Glenda Green was born in Sheffield, Alabama on September 10, 1952 to Alvie L. and Lennie P. (nee Smith) Green; and

WHEREAS, Glenda Green worked as a caseworker with Warren Township for 14 years and owned and operated White Lightning Cleaning in Gurnee for 13 years; and

WHEREAS, Glenda Green was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Sparks and her brother, Michael Green; and

WHEREAS, Glenda Green was the beloved daughter of Alvie L. and Lennie P. Smith; the loving mother of Tina (Tim) Turner and Tiffany (Eric) King; the doting grandmother of Matthew and Mason Turner and Kayleigh and Cameron King; the dear sister of Kathy (Julio) Polanco, Donna Roberts, and Tony (Sarah) Green; the adored aunt of 10 and the great-aunt of 4; and fond cousin of many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Glenda Green, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Glenda Green as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
