SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Garret Jakobsson of Mattoon, who passed away on November 5, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Garret Jakobsson was born on April 10, 1967 in South Korea; his parents were Eric Gunnar and Illinois State Representative Naomi (Dick) Jakobsson; he married Elizabeth Christian Hudson on October 28, 2002 in Urbana; and

WHEREAS, Garret Jakobsson enjoyed spending time with his family, motorcycles, playing pool, and fine wine; and

WHEREAS, Garret Jakobsson is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Jakobsson; his son, Gunnar Jakobsson; his parents, Eric and Naomi Jakobsson; his siblings, Beverly (Mark) Adamczyk, Susan (Keitha) Jakobsson, Eric (Alexa) Jakobsson, Jr., Jonathan (Sherri) Jakobsson, Sarah Reed, Brenda (Adam) Cadman, and Linda (Erich) Smith; his many nieces and nephews; and his many friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Garret Jakobsson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Garret Jakobsson as an expression of our sympathy.
