SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Terry J. Von Boeckman of Pekin, who
4passed away on December 24, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Terry Von Boeckman was born on December 14, 1942
6in Pekin; his parents were Carl Hans and Betty (nee Bandy) Von
7Boeckman, Jr.; he married Joan Audriene McClanahan on February
822, 1964 in Pekin; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Terry Von Boeckman graduated from St. Joseph
10Catholic School in 1956 and Pekin Community High School in
111960; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Terry Von Boeckman retired from Williams Bio
13Energy (formerly Corn Products and Pekin Energy) after 40 years
14of service as a maintenance supervisor; he also served as a
15board member with the Cerelose Credit Union for 12 years, where
16he served on the credit, budget, human resources, and loan
17committees; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Terry Von Boeckman was a member of the Pioneer
19Club and Pekin Elks Lodge #1271, where he served as a board
20member for 8 years; he served as a precinct committeeman; he
21also served on the Tazewell County Board from 2001 until his

1passing; while on the board, he served on the finance, human
2resources, transportation risk management, executive,
3M.A.R.E.D., and Prairie Rivers R.C. and D. boards, the
4Tri-County Regional Planning Commission, and the Tazewell
5Community Services Board; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Terry Von Boeckman was a member of St. Joseph
7Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Terry Von Boeckman enjoyed hunting, fishing,
9watching his grandsons play hockey and baseball, trap shooting,
10and four wheeling; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Terry Von Boeckman was preceded in death by his
12parents; his brother, Robert Von Boeckman, Sr.; his niece, Jill
13Marie Hill; his nephew, Randy Von Boeckman; and his
14great-niece, Katrina M. Kemper; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Terry Von Boeckman is survived by his wife, Joan;
16his daughters, Diana (George) Petty and Lynette (Joseph) Wolfe;
17his grandsons, Dalton J. Wolfe, Brenden M. Petty, and Caleb N.
18Petty; his mother-in-law, Dorothy McClanahan; and his many
19nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
21ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his

1family and friends, mourn the passing of Terry J. Von Boeckman;
2and be it further
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4presented to the family of Terry Von Boeckman as an expression
5of our sympathy.
