SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Dolores Karlovich of Gurnee, who passed away on December 25, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Karlovich was born on April 23, 1921 in Fargo, North Dakota to August and Viola Fisher; she graduated from Waukegan High School in 1939; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Karlovich worked for Abbott Laboratories for 15 years; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Karlovich was a member of The United Methodist Church of Libertyville, the Fraternal Order of the Moose for over 60 years, and active in various organizations in North Chicago; she was also a member of Heather Ridge Ladies golf league for 12 years; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Karlovich was preceded in death by her parents; her son, William S. Levak; and by her husbands, John Karlovich and Peter P. Levak, Sr.; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Karlovich is survived by her daughters, Sandra Liskey and Donna (Gary) Keene and by her grandchildren, Joshua Keene and Jacob and Ryland Levak; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Dolores Karlovich, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dolores Karlovich as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
