| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of James T. "Tom" Seddon of Joliet, who | 4 | | passed away on January 7, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, James Seddon was born on August 14, 1956 in | 6 | | Pontiac to David Henry and Mary Margaret (nee Hindman) Seddon; | 7 | | he married Janet Sandretto; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, James Seddon retired from ComEd after 35 years of | 9 | | service; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, James Seddon was a sports enthusiast; he was an | 11 | | Illinois High School Association basketball referee for 20 | 12 | | years, a slow-pitch softball umpire for 25 years, and | 13 | | fast-pitch umpire for 3 years; in 2009, he was inducted into | 14 | | the United States Specialty Sports Association's Hall of Fame | 15 | | as an umpire; he loved spending time with his friends and his | 16 | | Joliet Catholic Academy football tailgating buds; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, James Seddon was preceded in death by his parents; | 18 | | his father-in-law, Richard Sandretto; and numerous aunts and | 19 | | uncles; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, James Seddon is survived by wife of 31 years, |

| 1 | | Janet; his daughters, Amanda Seddon and Christie Seddon; his | 2 | | brother, Jon (Beth) Seddon; his mother-in-law, Patricia | 3 | | Sandretto; his sister-in-law, Carol (Nick) Honiotes; his aunt, | 4 | | Patricia Shoemaker; his nephews, Christopher (Shiloh) Seddon, | 5 | | Brent (Kimberly) Seddon, Nicholas (Jessica) Honiotes; his | 6 | | nieces, Heather Seddon, Beth Ann Seddon, Kilynn Honiotes; his | 7 | | numerous cousins; and his pups, Benny and Charley; therefore, | 8 | | be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | James T. "Tom" Seddon, and extend our sincere condolences to | 12 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 13 | | further
