SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Jerry P. Perrone of Geneva, who passed
4away on January 19, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jerry Perrone was born in Geneva on March 5, 1925
6to Patsy and Theresa (nee Benedetto) Perrone; he served his
7country in the United States Marines during World War II; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Jerry Perrone worked alongside his father at the
9City Barber Shop; he was a barber and co-owner and was a
10fixture of the community for over 75 years; he was active with
11the auxiliary police; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jerry Perrone was a longtime member of the
13American Legion in Geneva; he enjoyed bowling, playing poker,
14and tending to his garden; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jerry Perrone was preceded in death by is wife of
1662 years, Teelie (nee Lencioni); his parents; and his sisters,
17Anne Perrone and Mary McConnaughay; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Jerry Perrone is survived by his children, Cindy
19(Jack Claypoole) Grandin, Nancy (Jeff) Schaal, Penny (John)
20Foiles, Judy (Todd Weinstein) Mastroni, Jerry (Diane) Perrone,

1and Cara (Greg Wilcox) Perrone: his grandchildren, Adrian
2(Russ) Bredeson, Alex Anne Mastroni, Carly Tee Mastroni, Joseph
3Perrone, Therese Perrone, and Cullen Wilcox; his sister,
4Rocadella "Rockie" (Terry) McConnaughay; his brother-in-law,
5Glenn McConnaughay; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Jerry P. Perrone, and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Jerry Perrone as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
