SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Jerome "Jerry" Brolley of Chicago, who passed away on December 11, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Jerome Brolley was born on February 12, 1928, in Chicago; he was a Navy veteran; and

WHEREAS, Jerome Brolley taught U.S. history at North Chicago Community High School, coached football and baseball there, and served as the dean and principal; in his retirement, he sold real estate for CBS Realty of Waukegan and was a driver for Enterprise Rent-A-Car; and

WHEREAS, Jerome Brolley was an lifelong golfer and at age 84 had his first "hole-in-one"; and

WHEREAS, Jerome Brolley was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Nannette; and

WHEREAS, Jerome Brolley is survived by his sons, Mark and William; his daughters-in-law, Janet and Cathy; his grandchildren, Ryan, Daniel, John, Tracy, and Matthew; his sisters, Barbara (Jack) Genster and Mary Ann McLain; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jerome Brolley, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jerome Brolley as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
