SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

210 ILCS 45/2-106a

Amends the Nursing Home Care Act. Removes provision that prohibit the use of resident identification wristlets without a physician's order. Requires identification wristlets to be employed for every resident.

AN ACT concerning regulation.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Nursing Home Care Act is amended by changing Section 2-106a as follows:

(210 ILCS 45/2-106a)

Sec. 2-106a. Resident identification wristlet. Identification wristlets shall be employed for every resident. When identification bracelets are required, they must identify the resident's name, and the name, telephone number, and address of the facility issuing the identification wristlet.
