HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the Central Catholic High School Girls' Volleyball Team, the Lady Saints, on the occasion of winning the 2015 Illinois High School Association Class 2A State Championship; and

WHEREAS, The Lady Saints defeated the previously unbeaten Orion on November 14, 2015 in a 2-game match of 25-20 and 25-21; the team finished the season with an impressive 35 and 5 season record; and

WHEREAS, The Lady Saints' victory marks the first girls' volleyball State championship title in the school's history; and

WHEREAS, The hard-working members of the Lady Saints Volleyball Team are Alyssa Osterbuhr, Claire Swanson, Claire Boe, Carli Nafziger, Kennedy Sheehan, Bailey Coffman, Maddie Holt, Erika Moore, McKahl English, Meg Deneen, Kate Hoerdemann, Sydney Shanks, Maddie Malinowski, Hannah Kownick, Callie Slater, and Morgan Koch; and

WHEREAS, The team's head coach, JR Banister, has coached girls' volleyball at Central Catholic High School for 4 years and has achieved a record of 107 wins and 40 losses; the team's assistant coaches are Teresa Ulrich, Jaclyn Lindsey, Amy Peterson, and Isabela Dochnal; the team's athletic trainer is Ashley Kingston; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that we congratulate the members of the Central Catholic High School Girls' Volleyball Team, the Lady Saints, on winning the Illinois High School Association Class 2A State Championship; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Lady Saints as an expression of our esteem and respect.
