HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Rev. Ralph Brandon on 50 years in the ministry; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Brandon is the Senior Pastor at Christian Covenant Fellowship in Carterville, where he has been preaching for the past 25 years; he has been a full-time pastor for 50 years; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Brandon is the founder of Unity Christian School in Herrin and serves as a motivational speaker and grief counselor; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Brandon enjoys peppering his sermons with humor; his office shelves can be found with selections of books featuring classic comedians such as Milton Berle and Groucho Marx; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Rev. Ralph Brandon on 50 years in the ministry and we wish him many more wonderful years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Rev. Brandon as an expression of our esteem and respect.
