HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Paul T. Stransky on the occasion of his retirement from Farmers Insurance after 35 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Paul Stransky earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Law from Western Illinois University in 1978; and

WHEREAS, Paul Stransky began his career with Farmers Insurance in 1981 as an Agent in Aurora; he also served as a Sales Trainee in Aurora before moving to Santa Ana, California, where he worked for the company as a Commercial Sales Representative and Life Sales Representative; he then moved to San Diego, California to assume the position of Division Agency Manager and continued there until he moved to Vancouver, Canada to serve as Regional Sales Education Manager; he later moved back to Santa Ana, California to serve as Regional Agency Manager before taking the position of Regional Sales Manager in Carlsbad, California; after serving as Regional Sales Manager in Columbus, Ohio, he served in the positions of Director of Research and Development, Director of Education and Training, and Director of Commercial Product Management at the Farmers Insurance Home Office before being designated as Executive Director in Michigan; he was later promoted to the position of Director of Government Affairs, where he served until being promoted to Assistant Vice President of Government Affairs, where he remained until he retired; and

WHEREAS, Prior to his service at Farmers Insurance, Paul Stransky served with the Sandwich Police Department for four years; he also served in the United States Coast Guard in active duty for four years and in the Coast Guard Reserve for 10 years; and

WHEREAS, Paul Stransky and his loving wife, Irena, have two sons, Alex and Jonathan; and

WHEREAS, Paul Stransky serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Paul T. Stransky on the occasion of his retirement and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Paul Stransky as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
