HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Tobias K. Smith of Rockford, who passed away on December 21, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Tobias Smith was born on May 13, 2010 in Rockford; his parents were Martia Flint and Tyrone Smith, II and he was being raised by Demontae Rhodes; and

WHEREAS, Tobias Smith was a preschooler at the Summerdale Early Childhood Center; and

WHEREAS, Tobias Smith is survived by his maternal grandparents, Rolanda Collins and Martez Flint; his paternal grandparents, Tyrone Smith, Sr. and Maylene and Calvin and Tiffney Rhodes; his paternal great-grandmother, Jessie Flint-Parham; his maternal great-grandparents, Leonard Fricks, Jr. and Margrette Ferguson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Tobias K. Smith; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Tobias Smith as an expression of our sympathy.
