HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Dan Fabrizio on the occasion of his retirement from the Chicago Fire Department; and

WHEREAS, Dan Fabrizio joined the Chicago Fire Department on September 4, 1979 and was assigned to Rescue Squad 2 - then the busiest firefighting team in the department, charged with making some of the scariest rescues in the city; and

WHEREAS, Dan Fabrizio is a battalion chief and has twice served as President of the Chicago Fire Fighters Union, where he fought to preserve staffing levels, employee benefits, and to make sure the firefighters had the equipment they needed to perform their duties; and

WHEREAS, Dan Fabrizio has over 35 years of service to the Chicago Fire Department; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Dan Fabrizio on his retirement from the Chicago Fire Department and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Dan Fabrizio as an expression of our esteem and respect.
