HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Richard Martin on the occasion of his retirement from the Murphysboro Fire Department after 32 years of service on February 6, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Richard Martin began his career with the Murphysboro Fire Department on February 1, 1984; and

WHEREAS, Richard Martin became the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois Southern District Legislative Representative in 2005, and currently serves in that position; and

WHEREAS, Richard Martin is the proud father of daughter, Olivia, and sons, Eli (Karyn) and Zeke; he is the proud grandfather of Gunner; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Richard Martin on his retirement from the Murphysboro Fire Department and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Richard Martin as an expression of our esteem and respect.
