SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Donna Jeanne Moncivaiz of Beach Park, who passed away on October 23, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Donna Moncivaiz was born on October 29, 1961 in Evanston and grew up in Lincolnshire; her parents were Lawrence Hicks and Jeanne (nee Watry) Hicks; she married Jim Moncivaiz on December 21, 1985 in Deerfield; and

WHEREAS, Donna Moncivaiz was employed in the legal field her entire career and was greatly liked and respected by her colleagues; and

WHEREAS, Donna Moncivaiz loved spending time with her family and friends and cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks; she also had a passion for educating others about melanoma and was instrumental in passing legislation that banned minors from using tanning beds in the State of Illinois; and

WHEREAS, Donna Moncivaiz was preceded in death by her mother and her grandson, Logan Biddle; and

WHEREAS, Donna Moncivaiz is survived by her husband, Jim; her daughters, Morgan (Steve) Hogan and Mallory (David) Biddle; her grandchildren, Kathryn, Steven, Alexys, Kayleigh, and Lucas; her father Lawrence (Lois) Hicks; her siblings, Claudia (Jeff) Crouch, Elizabeth Hicks, and David Hicks; and her many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Donna Jeanne Moncivaiz; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Donna Moncivaiz as an expression of our sympathy.
