SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lee "Babe" Greenspan of Chicago, who passed away on February 20, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Lee Greenspan was born on November 19, 1924; he served in the military during World War II; and

WHEREAS, Lee Greenspan was a well-known furrier on Devon Avenue in Chicago for many years; he later became a clothing sales representative with offices at the Merchandise Mart; after retirement, he moved to Palm Springs, California; and

WHEREAS, Lee Greenspan was an avid golfer; and

WHEREAS, Lee Greenspan was preceded in death by his wife, Claire Greenspan; and

WHEREAS, Lee Greenspan is survived by his three children, Richard, Diane (Rich) Lachman, and Gary (Debbie); his seven grandchildren; and his four great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Lee "Babe" Greenspan, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lee Greenspan as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
