SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John H. Mooncotch, who passed away on March 7, 2016, at the age of 90; and

WHEREAS, John Mooncotch served in the United States Marine Corps at Iwo Jima during World War II; and

WHEREAS, John Mooncotch was the founder of LaGrange Crane Service, Inc. in Hodgkins; and

WHEREAS, John Mooncotch was the beloved husband of 52 years of Judith A. (Hish) Mooncotch; the loving father of Mary Kay (the late Randy) Musick, Diane (Steve) Fennessey, Brenda (the late Dennis) Parzygnat, Julie (James) St. Clair, John H. (Wendy) Mooncotch Jr., Thomas (Elizabeth) Mooncotch, Lisa (Charles) Marik, John Paul (Mary Jo) Mooncotch, Freda Mooncotch, and Judi (Toni) Mooncotch; the devoted grandfather of 24; the great-grandfather of 5; the dear brother of the late Thomas (Linda) Mooncotch, Betty Hickey, and Bernice Wallace; and uncle to many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of John H. Mooncotch, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Mooncotch as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
