SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Eileen O'Connell of Palatine, who passed away on May 22, 2016 at the age of 95; and

WHEREAS, Eileen O'Connell was preceded in death by her parents, James and Margaret Alicoate; her brothers, Vincent, Jim, Jack, Chuck, and Jerry; and her sister, Catherine (Augie) Jahns; and

WHEREAS, Eileen O'Connell was the loving wife to the late Eugene R. O'Connell; the loving mother of John (Celeste), Kathy Stegemann, Peggy (Michael) Smith, Colleen (Arthur) Work, Tom O'Connell, Maureen O'Connell, Charles (Joyce) O'Connell, and Eileen O'Connell; the devoted grandmother of Heather (Rusty) Mills, Tim O'Connell, Erik (Caty) Stegemann, Mark (Kit) Stegemann, Bridget (Charles) Juister, Amy (David) Kogut, Jim (Brenda) Smith, Ryan (Christie) Smith, Jody Work, Wade Work, Sara Work, Amanda Work, Brandon O'Connell, Kevin Rogers, Geralyn Rogers, Patrick O'Connell, Katie O'Connell, and David (Megan) Pratt; the loving great-grandmother of Ryan, Ashley, Sarah, Matthew, Gene, Victor, Harriet, Carys, Braden, Ensley, Connor, Maeve, Vincent, Daniel, Alivia, Kiana, Alice Mae, Jeff, Stevie, and Robbie; she is also survived by her brother, Thomas (Joan) Alicoate; her sisters-in law, Frances Alicoate and Nelly Alicoate; and many nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Eileen O'Connell; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Eileen O'Connell as an expression of our sympathy.
