| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Cheryl C. Graham Ptasienski of Waukegan, | 4 | | who passed away on May 29, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Cheryl Ptasienski graduated from Waukegan High | 6 | | School, the Marquette School of Nursing, the College of Lake | 7 | | County, and numerous other
schools; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Cheryl Ptasienski held many jobs in life, but her | 9 | | passion was food; she and her husband owned Cherdan Events; she | 10 | | also operated the "Good News Kitchen" for two
years, catered | 11 | | lunches for veterans on Memorial and Veterans Day, and | 12 | | coordinated the Waukegan Farmers Market; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Cheryl Ptasienski was a lifelong member of Christ | 14 | | Episcopal Church in Waukegan; she was President and a member of | 15 | | the Episcopal Church Woman, the Milwaukee Police Wives, the | 16 | | Waukegan Concert Chorus,
the Bell Canto Chorus of Milwaukee, | 17 | | the Waukegan Friends of the Library, the Waukegan Park District | 18 | | Parade Board, and American Legion
Auxiliary Unit 281; she was | 19 | | Chairperson of the Christ Episcopal Church Carmel Making Fund | 20 | | Raising group; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Cheryl Ptasienski was
preceded in death by her |

| 1 | | father, Leo F. Graham Jr., and her grandparents, Henry and | 2 | | Marie Bower, and Sarah and Leo F. Graham Sr.; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Cheryl Ptasienski is survived by her husband of 32 | 4 | | years, Daniel; her mother, Marlene; her
daughters, Christine | 5 | | (Phillip, Xavier, and Catarina), Stephanie (Mark), and | 6 | | Elisabeth (Paul); her sister, Colleen (Greg); and her nieces; | 7 | | therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Cheryl C. Graham Ptasienski, and extend our sincere condolences | 11 | | to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be | 12 | | it further
| 13 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 14 | | presented to the family of Cheryl Ptasienski as an expression | 15 | | of our deepest sympathy.
