| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Robert Glen "Bob" Stickler Sr. of | 4 | | Puryear, Tennessee and North Chicago, who passed away on | 5 | | October 14, 2016; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Robert Stickler Sr. was born in Waukegan to | 7 | | Bernard Roy and Alice Witte Stickler on September 19, 1928; he | 8 | | served in the United States Army during the Korean War; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Robert Stickler Sr. was a career police officer | 10 | | and retired with the rank of Sergeant from the North Chicago | 11 | | Police Department after 21 years of service; he also retired | 12 | | from the security force of the North Chicago VA Hospital; he | 13 | | served as President of the North Chicago Police Department | 14 | | Pension Board; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Robert Stickler Sr. spent his retirement years in | 16 | | Puryear, Tennessee; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Robert Stickler Sr. was preceded in death by his | 18 | | parents; his brother, Bernard Stickler Jr.; and his grandson, | 19 | | Zachary Stickler; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Robert Stickler Sr. is survived by his wife of 68 |

| 1 | | years, Evelyne Harazak Stickler; his children, Sally Stickler | 2 | | Myers, Robert Stickler Jr., Michael (Maureen) Stickler, | 3 | | Lawrence (Therese) Stickler, and James (Christine) Stickler; | 4 | | his sister, Lois (Carl) Streed; his brother, Wayne (Faye) | 5 | | Stickler; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and | 6 | | numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | Robert Glen "Bob" Stickler Sr., and extend our sincere | 10 | | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 11 | | him; and be it further
