SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Nancy C. Rafferty of Grayslake, who passed away on October 4, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Rafferty was born in 1933 in Libertyville and grew up in Highland Park; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Rafferty was a graduate of Marywoods Academy; she subsequently attended Loretto Heights University; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Rafferty was a member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish and was a former parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Libertyville; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Rafferty is survived by her husband of 60 years, Alex; 7 children, Theresa (Terrance) Grom, Alex Rafferty, Timothy (Lisa) Rafferty, Kevin Rafferty, Kelly (Walter) Swietlik, Leslie (Tod) Hoffmann, and Elizabeth (James) Jung; 22 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a brother, James (Patsy) Kelly; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Nancy C. Rafferty; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Nancy Rafferty as an expression of our sympathy.
