SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Cecelia Matuszewski, who passed away on April 17, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Cecelia Matuszewski was born on April 9, 1914 in Boyne City, Michigan; her family later moved to Kenosha, Wisconsin, where she grew up; she married her husband, Andrew, in 1941, and moved to North Chicago, where she remained until her passing; and

WHEREAS, Cecelia Matuszewski was a member of Holy Rosary Church (later Queen of Peace and now Most Blessed Trinity); and

WHEREAS, Cecelia Matuszewski was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew; her brothers Eddie and Walter; her sisters, Blanche, Jenny, Helen, and Sophie; her daughter, Suzanne, and her great-grandson, Miles; and

WHEREAS, Cecelia Matuszewski is survived by her son, Paul (Linda); 4 grandchildren, Paul (Kelly) Matuszewski, Karen Willsie, Brian (Kristy) Fegel, and Kevin Fegel; 4 great-grandchildren, Skyler and Jacob Willsie and Carina and Pier Matuszewski; her sister, Frances; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Cecelia Matuszewski; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Cecelia Matuszewski as an expression of our sympathy.
