SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Agnes Fincutter of Libertyville, who passed away on May 18, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Mary Fincutter was born in Libertyville on April 1, 1917 to George and Mary (nee Rudd) Fincutter; she earned a teaching certificate from Northern Illinois University in 1935 and a Bachelor of Arts in 1957; and

WHEREAS, Mary Fincutter taught first grade at Oak Grove School in Libertyville for 9 years and South School in North Chicago for 29 years; and

WHEREAS, Mary Fincutter was a member of Immaculate Conception (Most Blessed Trinity) Parish, a member of the Altar & Rosary Society, and a volunteer for many years at St. Vincent De Paul Society; and

WHEREAS, Mary Fincutter was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Joseph Fincutter, Frances (Elmer) Van Haecke, Edward (Ruth) Fincutter, Margaret Fincutter, Anna (Alfred) Thatcher, George Fincutter, Raymond (Bernice) Fincutter, Rose (James) Huff, and Eileen (Gordon) Fiddyment; and

WHEREAS, Mary Fincutter is survived by her sister, Agnes (Thomas) Kidde; she was aunt to 33, great-aunt to 63, and great-great-aunt to 45; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Mary Agnes Fincutter, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Fincutter as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
