SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Darren "Scott" Cooper of Lincoln, who
4passed away on August 14, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Darren "Scott" Cooper was born on July 7, 1965 in
6Lincoln; he married Lesley C. Wilson on June 1, 1991 in
7Lincoln; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Darren "Scott" Cooper was retired from the 183
9Fighter Wing Air National Guard, where he served with pride for
10over 20 years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Darren "Scott" Cooper was a retired parole
12supervisor for the State of Illinois; he also most recently
13served as the Mayor of Lincoln; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Darren "Scott" Cooper was a member of the Elks
15Club; he enjoyed spending time on the golf course, watching
16Cardinals baseball, and spending time with his family; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Darren "Scott" Cooper was preceded in death by his
18brother, Mark Ott; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Darren "Scott" Cooper is survived by his wife,

1Lesley; a daughter, Tori (Josh) Schacht; his father, Robert S.
2(Mary Ann) Cooper; his mother, Eva Jane Ott; his stepparents,
3Cecil and Myra Ott; a brother, Keith Ott; a sister, Brenda
4Tibbs; and 2 grandchildren, Makinley and Payton; therefore, be
5it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
8family and friends, mourn the passing of Darren "Scott" Cooper;
9and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Darren "Scott" Cooper as an
12expression of our sympathy.
