SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
50 ILCS 710/3  from Ch. 85, par. 517

    Amends the Peace Officer and Probation Officer Firearm Training Act. Provides that the fee required for an applicant for a retired law enforcement officer concealed carry certification shall be no more than 20% of the fee required under the Firearm Concealed Carry Act for application or renewal for a concealed carry license.

1    AN ACT concerning local government.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Peace Officer and Probation Officer Firearm
5Training Act is amended by changing Section 3 as follows:
 
6    (50 ILCS 710/3)  (from Ch. 85, par. 517)
7    Sec. 3. The Board is charged with enforcing this Act and
8making inspections to insure compliance with its provisions,
9and is empowered to promulgate rules necessary for its
10administration and enforcement, including those relating to
11the annual certification of retired law enforcement officers
12qualified under federal law to carry a concealed weapon. All
13units of government or other agencies which employ or utilize
14peace officers, probation officers, or that certify retired law
15enforcement officers qualified under federal law to carry a
16concealed weapon, shall cooperate with the Board by furnishing
17relevant information which the Board may require. The fee
18required for an applicant for a retired law enforcement officer
19concealed carry certification shall be no more than 20% of the
20fee required under Section 60 of the Firearm Concealed Carry
21Act for application or renewal for a concealed carry license.
22The Executive Director of the Board shall report annually, no
23later than February 1, to the Board, with copies to the

1Governor and the General Assembly, the results of these
2inspections and provide other related information and
3recommendations as it deems proper.
