HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate E.R. Brown Furniture for
4their years of providing exceptional customer service along
5with the best selection of furniture in Southern Illinois; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Since 1914, E.R. Brown furniture has continued to
7meet their founder E.R. Brown's focus on "Our Customers Come
8First" and has served four generations of Southern Illinoisans
9for all of their furniture needs; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Their family of furniture stores, including E.R.
11Brown Furniture, W.F. House Furnishing, and BFJ Interiors in
12West Frankfort, is known as the "Furniture Capital of Southern
13Illinois"; and
 
14    WHEREAS, The company, which employs 16 individuals, has
15over 60,000 square feet of furniture on display and three
16warehouses to provide the best selection of furniture in the
17area; and
 
18    WHEREAS, For years, E.R. Brown has supported numerous local
19programs and projects, including Relay for Life, school
20musicals, high school marching band, the public library, police
21and fire department activities and projects, grade school

1fundraisers, and local fundraisers aimed at helping citizens
2with medical needs and victims of natural disasters; therefore,
3be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
5HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
6congratulate E.R. Brown Furniture on their many years of
7providing quality customer service to the shoppers of Southern
8Illinois; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to E.R. Brown's grandson, Mr. Sloan Brown, owner of
11E.R. Brown Furniture, and his two sons, Kyle Brown and Matt
12Brown, who are fourth generation owners of the family business,
13as an expression of our esteem and respect.
