HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Heloise
4Aldridge, who passed away on April 12, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Heloise Aldridge was born in Webb, Mississippi to
6T.J. Kelly and Marie Smith on April 1, 1940; she attended grade
7school in Greenville, Mississippi until her family relocated to
8Summit-Argo, Illinois in 1950; she continued her grade school
9education in School District 104, where she attended Argo
10Community High School; she married her high school sweetheart,
11Vern Leon Aldridge Sr. on December 16, 1965; as a military
12couple, they traveled and lived at various Army facilities
13around the world, including Frankfurt, Germany; after her
14husband's retirement, they established their home in Maywood
15and raised their children; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Heloise Aldridge worked as an Administrative
17Assistant to the Principal at Roosevelt Middle School in
18District 88 until her retirement in June of 2002; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Heloise Aldridge loved her grandchildren, and
20each one held a special place in her heart; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Heloise Aldridge was preceded in death by her

1husband, Vern Sr.; and her children, Vern Jr. and Dawn; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Heloise Aldridge is survived by her son, Brandon
3(Vicki); her grandchildren, Nathan, Kaylon, Khayla, and Chanz;
4her niece, Stephanie Aldridge; her aunt, Odell Green; her
5cousins, Bennie Wilkins and Gladys Mallory; her "special
6sisters," Kay Brown, Barbara Eves, and Laverne Smith; her
7caregivers, Pamela Pittman and Kereas Deselle; and her many
8cousins, other relatives, and friends; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
10HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
11mourn the passing of Heloise Aldridge and extend our sincere
12condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
13her; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Heloise Aldridge as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
