1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, Farm City Days, hosted by the Franklin County Farm
3 Bureau Foundation, YourFranklinCounty.com, and the Franklin
4 County Farm Bureau, is a family-friendly festival providing
5 residents of Franklin County an opportunity to visit and
6 understand farming operations and safety; proceeds benefit the
7 Franklin County Farm Bureau "Ag in the Classroom" activities;
8 and

9     WHEREAS, The members of the planning committee are a
10 diverse group of individuals from the farming, marketing,
11 business, and community service industries; everyone shares a
12 common goal: To facilitate ongoing cooperation and
13 understanding between between city (non agricultural)
14 residents and the farming industry; and

15     WHEREAS, The Farm City Days celebration begins the morning
16 of June 10, 2017 in historic Benton with a Farm Machinery
17 Parade; therefore, be it

18     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
19 HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
20 declare June 10, 2017 as Farm City Days; and be it further

21     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
