HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Pearl
4Lillian "Lil Bird" Mayfield of Waukegan; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Pearl Mayfield was born to Postel and Rosie
6Mayfield on January 21, 1945; she graduated from North Chicago
7Community High School and was a lifelong resident of
8Waukegan/North Chicago; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Pearl Mayfield retired from Johnson Motors and W.
10W. Grainier; after her retirement she worked for Sheridan
11Health for several years; she was a hard worker and cultivated
12that same work ethic into her children; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Pearl Mayfield was preceded in death by her
14parents; her brother, William Mayfield; her children, Rene
15Mayfield and Antoinette Nicholson; and her grandson, Jonathan
16Wilkins; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Pearl Mayfield is survived by her children, Rick
18(Myiesha) Coleman, Eugene Raymon Mayfield, Rita (Wesley)
19Sneed, Norman (Cynthia) Medley, and her adopted son, Bobby
20Gordon; eight grandchildren, Eric Mayfield, Rayen Mayfield,
21Ruben (Deondria) Sanchez, Xavier Coleman, Iyana Brunson,

1Kaylah Duty, Norman Medley Jr., and Desiree Medley; three
2great-grandchildren, Jayden, Zoe, and Mila; her two sisters,
3May Bertha Poole and Gloria Carr; two brothers, John Mayfield
4and Rayburn (Linda) Mayfield; her two special nephews, Michael
5McBride, whom she regarded as a brother, and Jeff McBride; her
6two nieces, Claudean Thompson and Edra Stewart; and a host of
7great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and other family
8members; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
10HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
11mourn the passing of Pearl Lillian "Lil Bird" Mayfield, and
12extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all
13who knew and loved her; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Pearl Mayfield as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
