SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Jacqueline Lee "Jackie" St. Peters of
4Alton, who passed away on December 28, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jackie St. Peters was born in Hammond, Indiana to
6Stanley and Marjorie Baldwin Kocur on September 22, 1960; she
7grew up in the suburban Chicago area and graduated from the
8Bishop Noll Institute; she moved to Alton in 1978 to live with
9her sister and married Doug St. Peters on October 24, 1982; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Jackie St. Peters graduated from the
11International School of Travel in Chicago and worked as a
12travel agent at various locations in Alton and St. Louis; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Jackie St. Peters was a member of St. Ambrose
14Church in Godfrey and then St. Mary Church in Alton; she
15enjoyed animals, snow, Christmas decorations, St. Louis
16Cardinal baseball, Michigan, the number seven, Notre Dame,
17Aaron Rodgers, and the Green Bay Packers; her family always
18came first for her, which included her much loved dogs; she
19spent many happy times with her family at beautiful Walloon
20Lake, Michigan, where she had vacationed since she was a young
21child; her most recent travel highlight was a family cruise and
22trip to Disneyland that she made with her husband and their

1three girls; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Jackie St. Peters was preceded in death by her
3parents; her sister, Karyn Kelly; her brother, Rick Kocur; her
4brother-in-law, Dr. Frank Drew; and her brother-in-law, Rick
5Watts; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Jackie St. Peters is survived by her husband,
7Doug; her daughters, Laura, Courtney, and Megan; her sisters,
8Jan Drew and Lauren (Jim) Macintyre; her sisters-in-law and
9brothers-in-law, Wiona Jeffrey, Michael Kelly, Don and Gerry
10St. Peters, Darlene Watts, Dale and Nancy St. Peters, Denise
11St. Peters, and Danelle St. Peters; and numerous nieces,
12nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
15Jacqueline Lee "Jackie" St. Peters, and extend our sincere
16condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
17her; and be it further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Jackie St. Peters as an expression
20of our deepest sympathy.
