SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Loretta L. Dunstan of Troy, who passed away on February 2, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Loretta Dunstan was born in East St. Louis to Alfred C. and Alma (Donner) Hellwig on August 31, 1921; she married Billie Rood Dunstan at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy on November 28, 1942; and

WHEREAS, Loretta Dunstan was a longtime member of St. Jerome Catholic Church; and

WHEREAS, Loretta Dunstan enjoyed traveling, playing games, especially with her grandchildren, and crocheting gifts for her family; she was proud of her family and all they accomplished in life; and

WHEREAS, Loretta Dunstan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billie; her son, Jay; her brothers, Alfred and Richard Hellwig; and her sisters, Viola Reuss and Elinore Thompson; and

WHEREAS, Loretta Dunstan is survived by her children, Lanita (Gary) Lewis, Elaine (Roger) Archibald, Ronald (Mary Lou) Dunstan, and Alan (Linda) Dunstan; her daughter-in-law, Susie (Augie) Campagna; her grandchildren, Renee (Chuck Ryan) Dunstan, Theresa Dunstan, Michael Dunstan, Steven (Jennifer) Lewis, Eric Lewis, David Archibald, Brian (Julie) Archibald, Mary (Alex) Holt, Jennifer (Brett) Henschen, Shane (Beth) Firsching, Luke (Michele) Firsching, and Emily (Nate) Motsinger; her great-grandchildren, Riley, Ryder, Bentley, Savannah, and Scarlet Lewis, Molly and Jillian Archibald, Miles Holt, Jayden and Averi Henschen, and Trentin Firsching; her sisters-in-laws, Dixie Hellwig and Dorothy Folkerts; her brother-in-law, Bob Dunstan; and her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Loretta L. Dunstan and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Loretta Dunstan as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
