SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Patricia Jane "Patty" Hayes, who passed away on March 25, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Patty Hayes was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Larry E. and Judith M. (Cobb) Hayes on September 20, 1962; she graduated from Marquette Catholic High School in Alton, Illinois in 1980; in 1984, she graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a degree in Speech Communications; and

WHEREAS, Patty Hayes traveled all over the world coordinating and organizing events while serving in her various positions over the last 30 years; and

WHEREAS, Patty Hayes was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Church in Chicago; she enjoyed assisting others and loved time spent with her family and friends; she will be dearly missed by all who knew her; and

WHEREAS, Patty Hayes was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edwin and Doris Cobb and Hubert and Grace Hayes; and

WHEREAS, Patty Hayes is survived by her parents; her brothers, Michael (Alice) Hayes and Gregory (Valerie) Hayes; and her nieces, Hallie, Caroline, and Caty Jane Hayes; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Patricia Jane "Patty" Hayes and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Patty Hayes as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
