SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Heather Mills-Rogers of Chicago, who
4passed away on October 15, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Heather Mills-Rogers attended the John Muir
6Literacy School and Dwight D. Eisenhower Junior High School;
7she graduated from Hoffman Estates High School in 1996, where
8she was active in sports and participated on the swim team all
9four years; she married Alan Rogers (CPD) on May 6, 2005; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Heather Mills-Rogers worked for Starwood Resorts
11(Marriott) and served most recently as the Director of Human
12Resources; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Both at work and with her family, Heather
14Mills-Rogers participated in many fundraising events including
15with the St. Baldrick's Foundation, which works to raise funds
16to help find cures for children with cancer; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Heather Mills-Rogers was an avid fan of the
18Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks; she enjoyed traveling and spending
19time with her family, holidays, and family traditions; her all
20time favorite 1980s movie was Space Camp; and

1    WHEREAS, Heather Mills-Rogers was the beloved wife of Alan
2Rogers; the loving mother of Evan and Ellie; the beloved
3daughter of Karen and Glenn Mills; the daughter-in-law of Linda
4and Michael Rogers; the dear sister of Richard (Nicole) Mills
5and Laura (Nick) Doerner; the loving sister-in-law of Michael
6Rogers; and the loving aunt and godmother of many; therefore,
7be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Heather Mills-Rogers and extend our sincere condolences to her
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Heather Mills-Rogers as an
15expression of our deepest sympathy.
