| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Wilbur Edwin Brooks of New Windsor, | 4 | | formerly of East Moline, who passed away on November 15, 2018; | 5 | | and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Wilbur Brooks was born in Rock Island on November | 7 | | 12, 1942; he served in the United States Navy during the | 8 | | Vietnam War; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Wilbur Brooks worked for John Deere and then drove | 10 | | semis for several companies; he retired from Roadway Express in | 11 | | Rock Island in 2000; he then drove a school bus in East Moline | 12 | | and did maintenance work for Jordan Catholic School in Rock | 13 | | Island; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Wilbur Brooks was preceded in death by his father, | 15 | | Robert E. Brooks; his mother and stepfather, Inez and Gerald | 16 | | Rushton; and his uncles, Richard, Norman, and Frank Quist; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Wilbur Brooks is survived by his son, Eric | 18 | | (Jennifer) Brooks; his stepson, John (Wendy) Pulford; his | 19 | | step-grandchildren, Spencer and Caroline Pulford; his sisters, | 20 | | Bonnie (Dick) Curry and Connie (Allen) Schnoor; his brother, | 21 | | Gary Brooks; and his many close friends and neighbors; |

| 2 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 3 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 4 | | Wilbur Edwin Brooks and extend our sincere condolences to his | 5 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 6 | | further
