| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Dorothy B. Dixon of Moline, who passed | 4 | | away on December 3, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy Dixon was born in Chetek, Wisconsin to | 6 | | Chester and Vivian (McGraw) Stotts on February 21, 1920; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy Dixon served in the Women's Corps of the | 8 | | United States Army during World War II and was stationed in the | 9 | | Asiatic Pacific Theater; after the war, she worked as a | 10 | | secretary at the Rock Island Arsenal; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy Dixon was a member of the V.F.W.; she | 12 | | enjoyed playing Bingo and going to Jumer's; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy Dixon was preceded in death by her | 14 | | parents; her husband, Kenneth; her sisters, Myrna Stotts and | 15 | | Margie Reed; her brothers, Charles Stotts and Gene Stotts; and | 16 | | her niece Myrna Adamson; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy Dixon is survived by her nieces and | 18 | | nephews, Evelyn, Carol, Pat, Ronny, Carl, Shirley, Dottie, and | 19 | | Peggy; therefore, be it
