SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Russell Wayne Prunty Sr. of Moline, who passed away on October 6, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Wayne Prunty was born to Fred W. and Virginia (Marlow) Prunty in Macomb on October 5, 1947; he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; he married Patsy L. Surber on June 7, 1969; and

WHEREAS, Wayne Prunty was employed as a painter for International Harvester, retiring after 34 years; he also worked for 13 years as a truck driver, which he loved; and

WHEREAS, Wayne Prunty was known for his sense of humor; he enjoyed vacationing in Florida, sitting on his porch and relaxing, and playing Yahtzee with his wife; above all, he loved spending time with his family; and

WHEREAS, Wayne Prunty was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Gail; and

WHEREAS, Wayne Prunty is survived by his wife; his son, Russ Prunty; his grandson, Joey Prunty; and his niece, Ashley Prunty; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Russell Wayne Prunty Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Wayne Prunty as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
