| | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | | 3 | | to learn of the death of Robert Sterling of East Moline, who | | 4 | | passed away on May 5, 2021; and
| | 5 | | WHEREAS, Robert Sterling was born to James and Carmel | | 6 | | (Brown) Sterling in Davenport, Iowa on October 5, 1938; he | | 7 | | served in the U.S. Navy; he married Karen Healey on August 17, | | 8 | | 1961; and
| | 9 | | WHEREAS, Robert Sterling retired as a machine operator | | 10 | | with ALCOA in Bettendorf, Iowa; and
| | 11 | | WHEREAS, Robert Sterling loved watching westerns, playing | | 12 | | golf, and playing the Spyro video game with his grandchildren; | | 13 | | and
| | 14 | | WHEREAS, Robert Sterling was preceded in death by his | | 15 | | parents; his two brothers; and his two sisters; and
| | 16 | | WHEREAS, Robert Sterling is survived by his wife of nearly | | 17 | | 60 years, Karen; his children, Jeffrey (Linda) Sterling, | | 18 | | Robert Sterling Jr., James (Lana) Sterling, David (Maria) | | 19 | | Sterling, Stephen (Roshelle) Sterling, Michael (Diane) | | 20 | | Sterling, and Sarah Sterling; his grandchildren, Kelly, Katie, |
