SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Robert Sterling of East Moline, who
4passed away on May 5, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Sterling was born to James and Carmel
6(Brown) Sterling in Davenport, Iowa on October 5, 1938; he
7served in the U.S. Navy; he married Karen Healey on August 17,
81961; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Robert Sterling retired as a machine operator
10with ALCOA in Bettendorf, Iowa; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Robert Sterling loved watching westerns, playing
12golf, and playing the Spyro video game with his grandchildren;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Robert Sterling was preceded in death by his
15parents; his two brothers; and his two sisters; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Robert Sterling is survived by his wife of nearly
1760 years, Karen; his children, Jeffrey (Linda) Sterling,
18Robert Sterling Jr., James (Lana) Sterling, David (Maria)
19Sterling, Stephen (Roshelle) Sterling, Michael (Diane)
20Sterling, and Sarah Sterling; his grandchildren, Kelly, Katie,

1Courtney, Carson, Brad, Blake D., Jeanie, Brooke, Geovanni,
2JonTavius, Blake A., and Augustus; his 20 great-grandchildren;
3and his sister, Betty Jean Wulf; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Robert Sterling and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Robert Sterling as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
