SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

5 ILCS 430/5-10.7 new

Amends the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act. Provides that, once per legislative term, each member of the General Assembly shall participate in a law enforcement educational program, which shall include, but shall not be limited to, a ride-along program and a simulation training program, as organized by a body of law enforcement of that member's legislative district or representative district.

AN ACT concerning government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The State Officials and Employees Ethics Act is amended by adding Section 5-10.7 as follows:

(5 ILCS 430/5-10.7 new)

Sec. 5-10.7. Law enforcement training program. Once per legislative term, each member shall participate in a law enforcement educational program, which shall include, but shall not be limited to, a ride-along program and a simulation training program, as organized by a body of law enforcement of that member's legislative district or representative district.
