SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

Appropriates $4,500,000 to the State Board of Education for grants to school districts to contract with organizations that directly provide students and school-based staff with mental telehealth services that are billed to Medicaid and commercial insurance plans. Effective July 1, 2025.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The amount of $4,500,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the State Board of Education for grants to school districts to contract with organizations that directly provide students and school-based staff with mental telehealth services that are billed to Medicaid and commercial insurance plans.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2025.
