HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Frank Nicholas Busch on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, Frank Busch recently graduated from Warren Township High School; during high school, he played football and participated in the band; he is currently attending school at the College of Lake County; and

WHEREAS, Frank Busch has been involved in Scouting since he joined as a Cub Scout in 1999; he crossed over to the Boy Scouts in 2004 after earning his Arrow of Light as a Webelos Scout; and

WHEREAS, During his tenure with the Boy Scouts, Frank Busch has earned a total of 33 merit badges and has served as the Troop Quartermaster for five years; and

WHEREAS, Frank Busch is an Ordeal member of the Order of the Arrow; and

WHEREAS, Frank Busch has been an active member of his community through his work as the primary worker and Scout coordinator for the Blood Drive at St. Gilbert Church in Grayslake; and

WHEREAS, To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, Frank Busch planned and built a retaining wall/brick enclosure/raised garden around a memorial flagpole at the new Grayslake Historical Society building in downtown Grayslake; he raised $900 from local service organizations for this effort and was able to get the majority of the materials donated by local businesses; he also coordinated with a variety of Village officials and engineers, in addition to the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, to satisfy all the building requirements; his project involved over 165 man hours and nearly two dozen volunteers; and

WHEREAS, Frank Busch serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Frank Nicholas Busch on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Frank Busch as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
