HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Robert J.
4Frooninckx, who passed away on February 11, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert J. Frooninckx was born January 19, 1941, in
6Clifton, the son of Louis J. N. and Florence M. Hamende
7Frooninckx; he was the former mayor of Clifton for 5 1/2 years
8and retired from ZLB Behring Corporation; and
 
9    WHEREAS, He originally campaigned for mayor to get
10something done about sewage treatment; he was instrumental in
11getting the grant and no-interest loan from the EPA for the
12job; after he stepped down as Mayor he was still making the
13rounds, checking on the progress of the new sewage system he
14had worked so hard to see built; he worked adamantly on the
15project and many would have liked for him to see it finished;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, He never missed any village board meetings and
18would attend many other village meetings he was not required to
19attend in order to invest time and interest in his community;
20and
 
21    WHEREAS, He was not only a great public servant, but a

1small business owner, realtor, and avid Cubs fan as well; he
2was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed collecting
3antiques, coins, and stocks; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Robert Frooninckx is survived by his daughter,
5Brenda Frooninckx and her companion, Melissa Rhodes; his sons
6and daughter-in-law, Craig and Kellie Frooninckx and Michael
7Frooninckx; his granddaughter, Tara Frooninckx; and his
8sister, Rita Rabideau; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
10NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
11we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of
12Robert Frooninckx; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Robert Frooninckx as a symbol of our
15sincere sympathy.
