HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate New Beginnings Ministries of Lake County on its 10th anniversary; and

WHEREAS, New Beginnings Ministries of Lake County was founded in March of 2001 by Reverend Marvin Bembry; and

WHEREAS, Over a 30-year ministerial career, Reverend Bembry has preached to hundreds of thousands of people on four continents of the world, providing hope through the word of the Lord to those in need; and

WHEREAS, New Beginnings Ministries had its humble beginnings in the gymnasium of Novak King School in North Chicago, where, for four years, the congregation toiled together in the service of the Lord and many souls were added to the kingdom of God; and

WHEREAS, In 2005, the congregation moved to Grayslake; and

WHEREAS, For the past six years, many people have come to a closer walk with God; God has now opened a new door within central Lake County for the congregation to continue to grow and expand; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we recognize the efforts of Rev. Marvin Bembry and the New Beginnings congregation to bring the word of God to the people of Lake, Cook, and Kenosha Counties; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Reverend Marvin Bembry as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
