HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Edna L.
4Dalgaard Barr of Antioch, who passed away on January 16, 2011;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Edna Barr was born on June 12, 1926, in Antioch;
7she was the daughter of the late Alfred J. and Mary (Griffin)
8Pedersen; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Edna Barr and her late husband, Winsor Dalgaard,
10Sr., had operated Dalgaard's Certified Super Market in Lake
11Villa and Antioch for many years; she also served as a broker
12for Century 21 Real Estate in Antioch; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Edna Barr was a life-long member of St. Peter
14Church and CCW of Antioch, and a member of the American Cancer
15Society, the Lake County Mental Health Society, the Antioch and
16Spring Grove Golf Leagues, and the Antioch Women's Club; she
17was also an avid card player and gardener; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Edna Barr's loving family includes her husband of
1931 years, William M. Barr; her children, James (Sherry)
20Dalgaard and their children, Michelle (Dan) Auckland, James
21Dalgaard, Deanne (Ryan) Fischer, Andrew (Anne Clift) Dalgaard,

1and Amber Dalgaard; the late Winsor Dalgaard, Jr., and his
2daughter, Trina (Ryan) Legg; and the late Cheri Dalgaard; her
3siblings, Lena (the late Bruce) Dalgaard and their children,
4Bruce (Carol Korda) Dalgaard and Kirk (Joan) Dalgaard; Alyce
5(the late Tom) Dunkin and their children, Janyce (the late
6George) Brengel and Scott (Julie) Dunkin; the late Helen
7(Myrus) Nelson and their children, Alvin (Marge) Nelson,
8Shirley (Chuck) Erbach, and Le (Bob) Milnichuk; the late Rose
9(Kenny) McCord and their daughter, Lenore (Howard) Pratt; the
10late Grace (Frank) Barrick and their son, the late Jay (Sue)
11Yahnke; the late Alfred (Florence) Pedersen and their children,
12Alfred (Judy) Pedersen, Lloyd Pedersen, Dean (Linda) Pedersen,
13Dale Pedersen, and Brian Pedersen; Eileen (the late Robert)
14Pedersen and their children, Sandee (John) Bonner, Cindee
15(Steve) Hayes, and Gregg (Susan) Pedersen; her step-children,
16William M. (Judy) Barr, III and their children, Jennifer
17Wrzeciona, John (Rebecca) Barr, Jeremiah (Samantha) Barr, and
18Julia (Brandon) Bray; Ellen (the late Brad) Ipsen and their
19children, Kent (Ginger) Ipsen, Mary (Dennis) Carroll, and Lisa
20(Channin) Pluciennik; Michael (Kim) Barr and their children,
21Michael (Kristin) Barr, Susan Barr, Lori (Jason) Flade, Cody
22Barr, Tyler Barr, and Kimberly (Jay) Linneman; her former
23daughter-in-law, Debbie (Shawn) Goshinsky; Mary (John) Mors

18her many cousins; her step-cousin, Fr. Wilfrid John Harrington,
19O.P. CFM of Ireland; and her many cherished friends; therefore,

21    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
22NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
23we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of
24Edna L. Dalgaard Barr; and be it further
