HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Edna L. Dalgaard Barr of Antioch, who passed away on January 16, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Edna Barr was born on June 12, 1926, in Antioch; she was the daughter of the late Alfred J. and Mary (Griffin) Pedersen; and

WHEREAS, Edna Barr and her late husband, Winsor Dalgaard, Sr., had operated Dalgaard's Certified Super Market in Lake Villa and Antioch for many years; she also served as a broker for Century 21 Real Estate in Antioch; and

WHEREAS, Edna Barr was a life-long member of St. Peter Church and CCW of Antioch, and a member of the American Cancer Society, the Lake County Mental Health Society, the Antioch and Spring Grove Golf Leagues, and the Antioch Women's Club; she was also an avid card player and gardener; and

WHEREAS, Edna Barr's loving family includes her husband of 31 years, William M. Barr; her children, James (Sherry) Dalgaard and their children, Michelle (Dan) Auckland, James Dalgaard, Deanne (Ryan) Fischer, Andrew (Anne Clift) Dalgaard, and Amber Dalgaard; the late Winsor Dalgaard, Jr., and his daughter, Trina (Ryan) Legg; and the late Cheri Dalgaard; her siblings, Lena (the late Bruce) Dalgaard and their children, Bruce (Carol Korda) Dalgaard and Kirk (Joan) Dalgaard; Alyce (the late Tom) Dunkin and their children, Janyce (the late George) Brengel and Scott (Julie) Dunkin; the late Helen (Myrus) Nelson and their children, Alvin (Marge) Nelson, Shirley (Chuck) Erbach, and Le (Bob) Milnichuk; the late Rose (Kenny) McCord and their daughter, Lenore (Howard) Pratt; the late Grace (Frank) Barrick and their son, the late Jay (Sue) Yahnke; the late Alfred (Florence) Pedersen and their children, Alfred (Judy) Pedersen, Lloyd Pedersen, Dean (Linda) Pedersen, Dale Pedersen, and Brian Pedersen; Eileen (the late Robert) Pedersen and their children, Sandee (John) Bonner, Cindee (Steve) Hayes, and Gregg (Susan) Pedersen; her step-children, William M. (Judy) Barr, III and their children, Jennifer Wrzeciona, John (Rebecca) Barr, Jeremiah (Samantha) Barr, and Julia (Brandon) Bray; Ellen (the late Brad) Ipsen and their children, Kent (Ginger) Ipsen, Mary (Dennis) Carroll, and Lisa (Channin) Pluciennik; Michael (Kim) Barr and their children, Michael (Kristin) Barr, Susan Barr, Lori (Jason) Flade, Cody Barr, Tyler Barr, and Kimberly (Jay) Linneman; her former daughter-in-law, Debbie (Shawn) Goshinsky; Mary (John) Mors and their children, Katherine Mors, Samantha (Erik) Torgeson, John Mors, and Genevieve (Robert) Hicks; Nancy (Barr-Byrne) Ryan and her children, Eugene Byrne III and Kathleen Byrne (Cody Fischer); Julie Barr; John Barr and his children, Mary Barr and Ryan Barr; her former daughters-in-law, Judy Barr and the late Donna Keen Barr; her great-grandchildren: Brandon and Jessica Legg, Paige and Matthew Auckland, Rayna Fischer, Madeline and Faith Wrzeciona, Reegan and Erin Barr, Elle, Piper, and Emery Ipsen, Scarlett and Finnegan Carroll, Channin, Cameron, Quinn, and Tristan Pluciennik, Katherine and William Barr, Abigail and Wyatt Flade, and Brooke Linneman; her in-laws, William (the late Josephine) Lackermann, the late Ellamae (Charles) McGarry, and the late Regina (Michael) Harrington; her nieces and nephews, the late William and Daniel McGarry, Beth (George) Kraenzle and their family, Sheila (Bob) Zirves and their family, Timothy (Joan) Harrington and their family, William (Jan) Lackermann and their family, Ellen (Neal) Stephenson and their family, Gregory (Christine) Lackermann and their family, Laura (nee Lackermann) Divane and their family, and Linda (Robert) Lackerman Fletcher and their family; her many cousins; her step-cousin, Fr. Wilfrid John Harrington, O.P. CFM of Ireland; and her many cherished friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Edna L. Dalgaard Barr; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Edna Barr as an expression of our sympathy.
