SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Michael Thomas Asma of Beach Park, who passed away on July 16, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Michael Asma attended St. Anastasia School and Waukegan High School; and

WHEREAS, Michael Asma was a certified electrician; he was employed at the Electric Service Company in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Michael Asma was a member of the "backyard mechanics" with his brothers, cousins, and friends; he was a charter member of the Mis Shifts Car Club and loved to drive his 1972 Chevelle to car shows; and

WHEREAS, Michael Asma is survived by his loving daughters, Nicole Asma (Charlie Berczy) and Dana Asma; his parents, Bob and Peggy (nee Gavigan) Asma; his brothers, Joseph (Nancy), James, and Timothy; his sister, Katie (Joe) Gutierrez; his nieces, Hannah and Kaitlyn; his nephews, Michael, Daniel, and Sonny; his many cousins, aunts, and uncles; and his girlfriend, Brandy Green; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Michael Thomas Asma; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Michael Asma as an expression of our sympathy.
