SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Randall Dalton of Collinsville, who was listed as Missing In Action during the Vietnam War in July of 1971; and

WHEREAS, Through the efforts of the United States government, Randall's remains were identified and his family was notified of the discovery earlier this year; and

WHEREAS, Randall was the son of the late Mayor Fred Dalton and the late Ann Dalton; and

WHEREAS, Randall Dalton is survived by his sisters, Linda Kruse, Gayle Vecchetti, and Karen Kloster; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family, friends, and a grateful nation, the passing of Randall Dalton; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Randall Dalton as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
