SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Edward Davis of Kenosha, Wisconsin, formerly of North Chicago, who passed away on July 18, 2011; and

WHEREAS, He was an employee of the Veterans Administration Medical Center for many years; he later enlisted in the United States Army in 1968 and received an honorable discharge; he was also a faithful employee of North Chicago Community High School; and

WHEREAS, Edward Davis leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Charlot Davis; his children, Eddie "Bo" Davis, Maria Davis, Melissa Thomas, Lisa Davis, Raeshe Davis, Lashon (Gill) Whitaker, Glen C. Pitts Sr., T'Shaun Taylor, De'Vonte (Cyenthia) Taylor, Angela Davis, and Kendra Davis; his 43 grandchildren; his 20 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Eli Davis, John Hughly, and William (Charlene) Scott; and his sister, Ollie (Ron) Nash; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Edward Davis; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Edward Davis as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
