SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Helen F. Manier of Washington, who passed away on December 25, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Helen Manier was born on September 7, 1921, in Herrin; her parents were Ernest H. and Iva Lee Noonan Redman; she married Brooks Manier on March 22, 1942, in Searcy, Arkansas; and

WHEREAS, Helen Manier was employed as a secretary to the Superintendent of District 50 Schools in Washington for 15 years; and

WHEREAS, Helen Manier was a member of Sunnyland Christian Church; and

WHEREAS, Helen Manier was preceded in death by her husband, Brooks; her daughter, Barbara Koch; her 2 grandchildren; and her brother; and

WHEREAS, Helen Manier is survived by her sons, Don (Pat) Manier and Gary (Lada) Manier; her 3 grandchildren; her brother, Robert (Ann) Redman; and her 3 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Helen F. Manier; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Helen Manier as an expression of our sympathy.
