SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Charles Michael "Chad" Roe of Godfrey, who passed away on February 24, 2012; and

WHEREAS, He was born April 11, 1975, in Alton, the son of Bill and Gail (Farniok) Roe; and

WHEREAS, He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey; he was a former member of the Operating Engineers Union in Omaha, Nebraska; he had a lifelong love of heavy equipment, tractors, and classic cars; he enjoyed collecting nostalgic brochures about construction equipment; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and LeVetta Roe; and his maternal grandfather, James Farniok; and

WHEREAS, Chad Roe is survived by his parents; his brother, Jamie Roe; his grandmother, Phyllis Farniok; his aunts and uncles, Dan Roe (Kathy) and their children, Jeff, Janine, and Holly; Linda Fisher (Bill) and their children, Jennifer, Carrie, Marc, and Laura; Jerry Farniok (Pam) and their children, Chad, Todd, and Brittany; Pam Farniok; Vicki Ludolph and her children, Elizabeth and Emily; Jacki Lee and her children, Travis, Scott, Allison, and Erin; Tim Farniok (Jamie) and their children, Chris and Hilary; Mike Farniok (Carla) and their children, Jessica, Trevor, and Ashlyn; Pat Farniok; and Craig Farniok and his children, Jared and Zachary; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Chad Roe; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Chad Roe as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
